Animals were designed for consumption but not in the way farmers have abused the system. Right now, there are about 5 top meat farmers that dominate that part of the market. Those 5 farmers do not care about the well-being of animals. They feed them hormones so they’ll grow bigger 3 times as fast. In most cases, the animals (such as chickens) grow so fast, their bones can’t support their weight and so they’re left to hobble around until they’re slaughtered. It’s gruesome. But most conventional farmers are only concerned with profit which is why many fast food locations such as McDonald’s and Kentucky Fried Chicken are doing so well.

Allowing plants and animals to grow naturally and unaffected from pesticides and growth hormones will not only benefit the planet but will also increase the health of those individuals who choose organic over conventional.
